iSpark International Pitching Competition (IIPC) 2023

Greetings to you from Centre for Business Incubation and Entrepreneurial Ventures (CBIEV), Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

We are excited to invite your university to participate in our upcoming “iSPARK INTERNATIONAL PITCHING COMPETITION”, which will be held on 10 – 12 August 2023.

The competition brings together groups with innovative business ideas from all over the world in a platform to pitch and share their innovations with academicians and industry leaders in a quest to search for business investors and funders.  As one of the leading universities in Malaysia, we believe that your students would be a great fit for our competition.  The competition is designed to give students the opportunity to showcase their entrepreneurial skills and innovative ideas, while also networking with professionals and potential investors.

This year’s competition theme is “Sustainability: Small Changes, Big Impact” which will inspire participants to think creatively and come up with innovative ideas that can make a positive impact in communities and beyond.   Participants are requested to submit a set of online materials including: a business model canvas, Ms PowerPoint presentation and/or video, and a prototype (if any) by 31 May 2023.  Shortlisted teams are required to have face-to-face pitching except for International and East Malaysia participants will have an option of online pitching during the event day.  The judging criteria will mainly focus on the sustainability factors including human, social, economic and environmental besides the factors of business model and finance forecast, economy and financial impacts, creativity and innovation, and adaptability, scalability and upgradability.
