[Chiba University] Student exchange program for Fall 2023 and Spring 2024
Japan Program at Chiba (J-PAC) for the academic year 2023-2024. J-PAC is the exchange program for undergraduate students who are interested in studying Japanese language and culture. It has two courses; International Liberal Arts Course and Japanese Studies Course. The available student number depends on our student exchange agreement in principle.

Language requirement
Either 1 or 2 is required for J-PAC. Please refer to the J-PAC Outline
for details.- Sufficient level of English (CEFR B2 or higher) + Japanese language learning experience at least for 50 hours
- Sufficient level of Japanese (JLPT N2 or higher
Study period
- Full academic year: October to August next year
- Fall semester only: October to February next year
- Spring semester only: April to August
Note: Students cannot change their study periods after they apply.

- Recent CV
- Applicants must possess a competent command of spoken and written English, which corresponds to:
• IELTS: a minimum of 6 for the Writing sub-test
• TOEFL: a minimum of 570 (paper) or 90 (internet) or 237 (computer)
• SAT1: a minimum of 600 for the Verbal section; or 7 for the Essay section
• IB: a minimum of 6 for Higher level English
• MUET: Band 6 and a minimum of 50 for writing
