Hokkaido University Exchange Programs for Fall 2021-2022

HUSTEP (Hokkaido Univeristy Short-Term Exchange Program)

HUSTEP is a ‘junior year abroad’ type program designed to provide undergraduate students from affiliated universities with the opportunity to study in Japan at Hokkaido University. Participants in this program take a wide variety of classes offered in English in the fields of Culture and Society, Environment, Science and Technology. Students also have the chance to study the Japanese language. For more information, please see the website below.

Course duration: October 2021 – mid August 2021 (11 months)

October 2021 – Mid-February, 2021 (5 months)

Eligibility:

1.    1. Undergraduate student
2.    2. Pay tuition fee in home university
3.  3. Have completed at least 2 years of undergraduate study
4. 4. GPA 3-4
5. 5. English proficiency test score: minimum TOEFL iBT 79 or IETLS 6.5

Have a chance to join the JASSO scholarship selection process (monthly stipend of 80,000 yen)

Special Audit Student (SAS) -for undergraduate student

Half year or full year programs in which students are assigned to a particular faculty and take classes related to their specialized area together with full-time students. Eligibility:

1. 1. High academic records in the field of desired faculty
2. 2. Equivalent to JLPT level N2 or higher
3. 3. Enrolled as a full-time student at home university during exchange program

Special Audit Student (SAS) – for Graduate student

IRO deadline: 11 Maret 2021, pukul 15.00 WIB

Half year or full year programs in which students are assigned to a particular faculty and take classes related to their specialized area together with full-time students. 1. 1. High academic records in the field of desired faculty
2. 2. Equivalent to JLPT level N2 or higher (depending on a graduate school)
3. 3. Enrolled as a full-time student at home university during exchange program

Special Research Student (SRS) – for Graduate student

IRO deadline: 11 Maret 2021, pukul 15.00 WIB
