Nomination procedure at the University of Groningen, faculty of Economics and Business

University of Groningen will accept nominations again from the 6th of February 2020 on.

 Fall semester/semester 1

(September          2020 to the beginning of February 2021)

 Spring semester/semester 2 (February to mid-July)

To be accepted as an exchange student at the Faculty of Economics and Business, students need to have taken a minimum of 10-12 courses (60 ECTS) in the field of economics and business. Students should have covered subjects such as statistics, microeconomics, macroeconomics, (financial) accounting and research methods.

1. courses the Faculty of Economics and Business offers to exchange students. Bachelor exchange students can only attend courses open to bachelor exchange students, while master exchange students can attend courses open to bachelor and master exchange students. Please note that the course schedule is updated once per year in July.
2. English proficiency tests and test scores University of Groningen accept as proof of English proficiency.
3. visa and residence permits.
4. University of Groningen academic calendar.
5. study start events. Please note that some of those events are mandatory.
6. practical matters such as accommodation, financial matters and health insurance. As student accommodation in Groningen is very scarce, students need to arrange a room quite early. For the fall semester, students need to book a room in the beginning of June already. For the spring semester, students need to arrange a room in the beginning of November already.
