2024 KIT-GKS Admission Call for Master's Degree at Kumoh National Institute of Technology

We are pleased to inform you of 2024 KIT-GKS (Kumoh National Institute of Technology-Global Korea Scholarship)Guidelines for Master’s candidates here in Korea.

This might be a great opportunity for you to be able to study in Korea with a full school scholarship and to settle down with decent jobs supported by regional government and KIT.

1. Scholarship Duration & Benefits

*Each successful scholar will have to purchase economy class one-way ticket to Korea with one’s own wherewithal and the airfare will be reimbursed by KIT after entering Korea.

*Scholar will have to pay one’s tuition fee by oneself during each semester including the first semester.

 2. Required Language Proficiency Test Result
Applicants MUST submit one of below official language proficiency test certificates.
– minimum language proficiency test certificate: TOPIK level 3, TOEIC 750, TOEFL PBT 550, TOEFL ibt 79, TEPS 327, IELTS 6.0 or higher
– Eligibility requirements are limited to the results of the language test taken within the last two years as of the application deadline for KIT-GKS admission
– If candidates are from the country where English is spoken as first language (USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand), the English proficiency test will not be required to hand in

 3. Eligibility
Please refer to the attached KIT-GKS Application Guidelines.

 4. Obligation for KIT-GKS recipients
– KIT-GKS recipients are obligated to either find a job at local companies or pursue higher degree at universities located in Gyeongsangbuk-do and to maintain residency in Gyeongsangbuk-do for three years after one’s graduation.
– KIT-GKS final nominees are highly recommended to attend “Gyeongbuk Global School” program before the start of the semester if possible. Gyeongbuk Global School will last two weeks in August 2024, and is a program that introduces policy of Gyeongsangbuk-do and provides scholars with opportunities to experience Korean culture, laws and etc., to help them study and settle in Gyeongsangbuk-do.

 5. Restriction
– Applicants must choose and apply for only ONE scholarship program offered by KIT.
– If an applicant applied to more than one scholarship program offered by KIT, his or her application will be disregarded at the 2nd round of selection.

If you are interested, please download required documents (Form 1-6) in this link and send one original application document package by post no later than May 24th, (Friday), 2024. Your original application documents must be delivered to the university by the deadline. For other restrictions, please refer to the attached KIT-GKS Application Guidelines.
All required documents must be written by computer typing and send one original document by post only (no e-mail application will be accepted). We don’t have online application for this KIT-GKS admission stage.
