Tujuh belas hari benar-benar berharga seperti mimpi. Terima kasih banyak”.

  • Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia : 24 participants
  • National Taiwan University, Taiwan                         : 3 participants
  • National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan : 2 participants
  • National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan                         : 2 participants
  • Khon Kaen University, Thailand : 1 participant

  • Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Vietnam : 2 participants

All foreign participants and several local participants (Indonesian) AOTULE 2019 are given guest house facilities that strongly support interaction and communication between participants. When carrying out activities outside the campus, all participants get bus transportation facilities that allow all participants to interact each other. Only a few times the participants used ‘angkot’ and minibuses in their activities, but it also gave an extraordinary impression, especially to foreign participants who were using the traditional public transportation ‘angkot’ for the first time.

Every morning, all participants staying at the guest house get breakfast facilities. At the time of the activity, all participants including those who did not stay at the guest house received lunch facilities and several times dinner when the activity lasted until evening. Meanwhile, other nights when there is no activity, all participants are freed to find their own food which is also often used by participants to taste the culinary of Bandung with other participants. In addition to heavy food, participants also get a snack, up to two times a day during activities.

All AOTULE 2019 participants were divided into 10 groups to give a presentation about sustainability at the end of the summer program. In the presentation, the 10 groups were further divided into three sub-themes, there are sustainability-entrepreneurship, sustainability-tourism, and sustainability-cultural. Presentation material can be drawn from activities that have been carried out along the summer program. In addition, each group was also asked to present a performance on cultural night on the last day of the summer program. During cultural night, participants presented cultural collaborations between countries, ranging from singing several languages, dancing traditionally, playing traditional music, and exchanging regional clothes. Cultural night ends up with announcing the winner of the presentation and coronation of participants and the committee according to several criterias based on the results of the questionnaire distributed before cultural night.

Quoted from the Instagram account shem_ayegba, one of the AOTULE 2019 participants who came from Hong Kong, “AOTULE summer program, was an amazing experience. ITB did a wonderful job hosting. The awesome people I met, tops the list for me in terms of experience. “. Another Instagram post from the kimbob9318, AOTULE 2019 participant from Korea who wrote it in a combination of English and Korean, “I’m really gonna miss you everyone. (Seventeen days are truly as precious as dreams. Thank you very much)”.
