Tokyo Tech Exchange Programs Information for the 2016-2017 Academic Year
Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech) is pleased to inform you that the recruitment process for International Exchange Students for the 2016-2017 academic year (April 2016 – March 2017) has begun. Tokyo Tech hosts two exciting exchange programs: the YSEP (Young Scientist Exchange Program) for senior/final-year undergraduate students and master’s students, and the ACAP (Academic Cooperation Agreement Program) for both undergraduate (second year or above) and graduate-level students.
02 General Information 2016-2017
1. YSEP (Young Scientist Exchange Program)
(A) YSEP Focused on Research (YFR)
Period of Study: 1 Academic Year
(B) YSEP Experiencing Japan (YEJ)
Period of Study: 1 Academic Semester
2. ACAP (Academic Cooperation Agreement Program)
Students applying for a JASSO Scholarship can start their program only in either April or September and their period of study may last from 2 quarters (a semester) to 4 quarters (a year)
Requirements:
- YSEP Focused on Research (YFR) = Applicants must have completed at least three years of undergraduate study, but not yet completed a master’s course at a Tokyo Tech partner university.
- YSEP Experiencing Japan (YEJ) = Applicants must have completed at least two and a half years of undergraduate study but not yet completed a master’s course at a Tokyo Tech partner university.
- ACAP (graduate level) = graduate Students
- ACAP (Undergraduate level) = Undergraduate Students (2nd Year or above)
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Academic transcript
- TOEFL or IELTS, with minimum score of: TOEFL 550, IELTS 6,5, iBT 100

YEJ Autumn Semester (starting in September 2016)

YEJ Spring Semester (starting in March 2017)
Deadline: July 1st, 2016
ACAP, only the applicants who expect to start their studies at Tokyo Tech in either April or September and stay for 2 quarters (1 semester) or longer are eligible to apply for a JASSO Scholarship.
