Tokyo Tech Exchange Programs Information for the 2015-2016 Academic Year
Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech) is pleased to inform you that the recruitment process for International Exchange Students for the 2015-2016 academic year (April 2015 – March 2016) has begun. Tokyo Tech hosts two exciting exchange programs: the YSEP (Young Scientist Exchange Program) for senior/final-year undergraduate students and master’s students, and the ACAP (Academic Cooperation Agreement Program) for both undergraduate (second year or above) and graduate-level students.
1. YSEP (Young Scientist Exchange Program)
(A) YSEP Focused on Research (YFR)
Period of Study: 1 Academic Year (Mid-September to the following August)
(B) YSEP Experiencing Japan (YEJ)
Period of Study: 1 Academic Semester (Spring: March – August)
2. ACAP (Academic Cooperation Agreement Program)
6 months to 1 year program on a research activity at Tokyo Tech for graduate students or undergraduate students (second year or above).
Requirements:
- YSEP Focused on Research (YFR) = Applicants must have completed at least three years of undergraduate study, but not yet completed a master’s course at a Tokyo Tech partner university.
- YSEP Experiencing Japan (YEJ) = Applicants must have completed at least two and a half years of undergraduate study but not yet completed a master’s course at a Tokyo Tech partner university.
- ACAP (graduate level) = graduate Students
- ACAP (Undergraduate level) = Undergraduate Students (2nd Year or above)
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Academic transcript
- TOEFL or IELTS, with minimum score of: TOEFL 550, IELTS 6,5, iBT 100

Application Deadlines
Application documents should arrive at International Relation Office ITB at
- 21 November 2014: ACAP start in April 2015 (with JASSO scholarship)
- 2 February 2015 : ACAP start in either September or October 2015 (with JASSO scholarship), YSEP Focused on Research (YFR), YSEP Experiencing Japan (YEJ)
- 12 June 2015 : YSEP Experiencing Japan (YEJ) Spring semester.
