Tohoku University Japanese Program (TUJP) Online and In-Person

We are pleased to announce that the application for “Tohoku University Japanese Program (TUJP) Online & In-Person” is open now.

The programs contain the practical Japanese language, Japanese culture & society, and the exchange with the local students.
All classes on TUJP-Online will be provided via Zoom Meeting secured by Tohoku University.
We welcome both undergraduate and graduate students.

【Online-Intermediate】

Date: November 6 – 17, 2023  (2 weeks)

Time: 16:20-19:30 (JST)

Credits: 2 ECTS equivalent

Program Fee: JPY 40,000*

Application Deadline: 29th September, 11:59 p.m.(JST)

Admission  Notification Date: 5th October

Payment  Deadline: 12th October, 11:59 p.m.(JST)

【In-Person Winter】

Date: December 6 – 19, 2023 (2 weeks)

Credits: 3 ECTS equivalent

Program Fee: JPY 80,000*

Application Deadline: 5th September, 11:59 p.m.(JST)

Admission  Notification Date: 15th September

Payment  Deadline: 24th September, 11:59 p.m.(JST)

【In-Person Spring】

Date: February 28 – March 12, 2024(2 weeks)

Credits: 3 ECTS equivalent

Program Fee: JPY 80,000*

Application Deadline: 20th November, 11:59 p.m.(JST)

Admission  Notification Date:  8th December

Payment  Deadline: 17th December, 11:59 p.m.(JST)

* The payment instructions will be given in the Admission  Notification email.
* The program fee must be paid via our online payment system. (accepted credit cards: VISA, Mastercard, JCB, and AMERICAN EXPRESS)
*The program fee and processing charge (Credit card fee*) are nonrefundable.
