Meiji University are pleased to announce our Online Intensive Japanese Language Program 2021.

Application period is November 30 – December 15, 2020.

【Program Period】

①February 15 – March 6, 2021　10am-12pm(Japan Time)

②February 15 – March 6, 2021　16pm-18pm(Japan Time)

③March 8 – March 27, 2021　10am-12pm(Japan Time)

④March 8 – March 27, 2021　16pm-18pm(Japan Time)

【Program Level】

【Course A】 Beginner　        8 students in each class（①～④）

【Course B】 Pre-intermediate  8 students in each class（①～④）

*A class will be cancelled if there are fewer than the minimum required numbers of participants.

●Beginner’s class (A2 level in CEFR scale) ：JLPT N4 level

・Can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment).

・Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.

・Can describe in simple terms aspects of his/her background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.

●Pre-intermediate’s class (B1 level in CEFR scale)：JLPT N3～N2 level

・Can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc.

・Can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken.

・Can produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest.

・Can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes & ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.

＊A certificate will be issued to the participants who meet a requirement.

Eligible participants: Undergradute or graduate students

Program contents: 

• Japanese Language Class: 18 hours (60 min x 18 lessons)
• Interaction Meeting with Meiji University students: 6 hours (120min x 3 times)
• Assigment learning / office hours: 12 hours approximately
