NOMINATION OF SPEAKER: INTERNATIONAL WOMEN IN ENGINEERING DAY 2023 (INWED 2023)
Warm Greetings from the ATU-Net secretariat!
Dear Valued ATU-Net members,
We are pleased to inform that the World Technology Universities Network (WTUN) will be organising the International Women in Engineering Day 2023 (INWED 2023) which is celebrated worldwide every 23rd June. This year, INWED 2023 will be hosted and chaired by the Faculty of Engineering and Informatics of the University of Bradford, United Kingdom.
With regard to this event, ATU-Net has been invited to collaborate with WTUN of which two slots of speakers are provided in portraying women in engineering. We are delighted to extend this invitations to all interested ATU-Net members who would like to nominate speakers with details as follows:
Date of the event: 23 June 2023 (Friday)Time: 19:00 – 20:30 (UTC+8, Malaysia Time); 12:00 – 13:30 (BST)Mode: OnlineTheme: The theme for this year, chosen by the Women’s Engineering Society, is ‘Make Safety Seen’ and their message is “we are keen to celebrate women engineers who are engaged in safety & security and are supporting other women in engineering to do the same. This covers cyber security, medical technology and devices, pharma, transport, civil engineering, and human factors” – it’s a broad theme and so I am happy to hear suggestions from interested speakers. We would like the event to be aimed at ‘technical non-experts’ and also invite speakers to offer their perspective as women working in the field of STEM.
