Nikkei STEAM 2024 Symposium: Student Summit Future Earth Conference

Nikkei Inc. will hold a symposium to discuss the ideal future of the Earth with high school and university students from Japan as well as from other Asian countries. This program aims to deepen exchanges among participants of the same generation from different countries, to recognize differences in culture and sentiments, and to design a future society in which everyone can fully demonstrate their abilities by utilizing the knowledge, skills, and experience cultivated in their respective fields. Each team will make a presentation at the symposium on July 30. (Presentations by overseas teams will be pre-recorded; only Q&A sessions will be live-streamed via Zoom.)

Participating teams are invited to attend the STEAM Workshops (online), which will be held from April to June. This event will hopefully serve as an opportunity for participants to interact with each other, arouse their curiosity, and encourage inquiry under a theme such as “Thrilling and Exciting,” and for them to gain hints for exploring the ideal future image of the Earth.
