Kanazawa University Student Exchange Program (KUSEP)
KUSEP is a short-term program which offers Japanese language classes, as well as classes lectured in English on Japanese culture and affairs, and on major subjects. There is no restriction as to the student’s major field of study. Japanese courses are compulsory and there are 5 class meetings a week. The other courses are elective. Students with excellent Japanese proficiency are allowed to join in classes for general and professional education with Japanese students.
Applicants to the KUSEP must satisfy the following four requirements:
- Students must be full-time undergraduate students who have completed their second year or full-time graduate students in master courses, and must belong to one of the institutions that have an exchange agreement with Kanazawa University
- Students should satisfy the requirements for applying to the JASSO Short-term Student Exchange Program Scholarship.
- Students should have enough English ability to understand lectures in English. In addition, it is advisable that they have taken more than 100 hours of Japanese language instruction before coming to Japan to ensure a smooth adjustment to life in Japan.
- Students should be healthy both mentally and physically.
