JASSO Scholarship Short Term Exchange Program Postgraduate at Kumamoto University Oct 2024

We would like to announce the IJEP Short-Term Exchange Program with JASSO scholarship starting in Oct 2024 for either 6 months (till March 2025) or 11 months (till August 2025). Now we are recruiting 10 applicants (graduate students), who are from partner universities with a student exchange agreement.

The following conditions apply to the programs;
1. Amount of scholarship: 80,000 yen per month
　 (participants have to take responsibility for the cost of flight tickets, accommodation, food, health insurance and other living cost, etc.)
2. Start of the program: October 1, 2024
3. Duration of the program: Either 6 or 11 months from October 2024
4. Program contents:
-Research project
-Lectures
 “Current Science and Technology in Japan” in fall semester (2 credits)
At least 3 classes related to topics in environment issues are required.
-Field trip
-Final Report
-Midterm and final presentations

Nomination should be made by IRO ITB.
Send the following documents to iro@itb.ac.id by 20 May 2024 (for internal selection). *Number 1-5 are required for program application.
1. Application form for Short-Term Exchange Program (Form 1)
2. Certificate of Enrollment, including information such as expected date of completion.
3. A letter of recommendation from a professor or a research supervisor who can evaluate the
applicant’s personality and ability in study and research.
4. Official transcripts in English of academic records from each college and university attended,
including information such as GPA and ranking.
5. An official score of Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), Test of English for
International Communications (TOEIC), or International English Language Testing System
(IELTS). Desirable scores are greater than 71 for TOEFL-iBT (530 for TOEFL-pBT), 700 for
TOEIC, and 6.0 for IELTS.
*Scores obtained earlier than May 2022 are not valid.
