CNU Summer Programs

Chungnam National University (CNU) in Korea would like to introduce summer programs and invite you to CNU. Please see the summaries below.

Summer Session for International Students (SSIS)

– Date: June 21July 28 (5 weeks)

– Application deadline: March 24, 2017

– Program fee: USD 700 (partner) / 1,400 (non-partner)

– Academic credit: 6 credits (Korean language in the mornings and one elective in the afternoons)

   Korean Language 1 (3-credit mandatory)

   Asia Business (3-credit elective)

   World Englishes and Cross Cultural Communication (3-credit elective)

   Communication and Korean Culture (3-credit elective)

   Biotechnology and Agriculture (3-credit elective)

– Field trips, cultural activities, and visit to a research institute

– No limit on the number of applicants

 

Globally Remarkable Academic Success Program (GRASP, previously known as International Summer School(ISS) until 2015, and SSIS Session 2 (2016))

– Date: August 7 – 18 (2 weeks)

– Application deadline: April 21, 2017

– Program fee: USD 400 (partner) / 800 (non-partner)

– Academic credit: 3 credits (Korean Language 1)

– Cultural activities and visits to research institutes

– No limit on the number of applicants

The advantages of CNU summer programs are:

– Prestigious academic program with comparatively low fees

– Located in the center of Korea. Just 50 mins away from Seoul by KTX and less than 2 hours to every city

   Daejeon, where CNU is located, has 1.5 million citizens, one of the five biggest cities in Korea.

– Lots of field trips and cultural activities (Tae Kwon Do, Traditional Instrument, Traditional Seal and more)

– Diverse nationalities of participants

   Students in summer/winter 2016 were from Brazil, China, Costa Rica, Czech, France, Germany, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Malaysia, Romania, Russia, Spain, Taiwan, Turkey, USA and Vietnam.
