Chonnam Nat’l University Int’l Summer Session 2016(CNUISS 2016) Faculty Recruitment

Chonnam National University, Korea, are again planning to invite international scholars to CNU international summer session 2016.

In 2015, CNU offered 22 courses in our International Summer Session (ISS), for which we invited 19 international scholars to teach and 109 international students from 22 countries to study along with 400 local students. For the summer of 2016, we are again planning to invite scholars and students to our ISS 2016, which will run from June 23 to July 21, 2016, with a two day orientation from June 21 to June 22.

Accordingly, CVU hereby invite professors under the following terms and conditions to teach at CNU for the summer of 2016:

1.      Teaching Period: June 23 – July 21, 2016

2.      Teaching hours: 45 hours (3 hrs a day/4 days a week/4 weeks)

3.      Medium of class: English

4.      Class setup: Mixture of Korean and international students

5.      Class size: between 20 to 40

6.      Course topic: General courses are preferable.

7.      Qualification: Doctoral degree with five year teaching experience

8.      Financial support

– Honorarium: US$3,000

– Accommodation support: guest house on campus or 1,000,000 KRW stipend

– Air fare support: US$500 for those from Asia and US$1,500 from outside of Asia

9.      Application form, CV, and simple syllabus to International Relation Office ITB by November 23, Monday

10. ISS Visiting Scholar Application_2016

Here is a general calendar for our CNU ISS 2016:

·         December 4, 2015: Scholar application deadline

·         December 31, 2015: Course list completed after consultation with the relevant departments based on the documents submitted

·         February 22 – April 1, 2016: International student application

·         April 15, 2016: Acceptance letter to student applicants for visa application

·         June 20, 2016: Pick-up at Incheon airport (9AM – 5PM)

·         June 21-July 21, 2016: International summer session 2015 (CNUISS Orientation: June 21 – June 22, 2016)
