Osaka University International Certificate Program (October 2021-September 2022)

Osaka University International Certificate Program (OUICP) is an educational program in collaboration with Osaka University Joint Campus counterparts in ASEAN Countries. The program starts in October 2021 and ends in August or September 2022.

• Target Group: Graduate Students (Master’s & Doctoral students).
• Relevant Fields: Advanced Industrial Biotechnology; Nanoscience and Nanotechnology; Frontier Engineering Science/STEM; Halal Science, Technology, and Innovation; Computational Materials Design.
• Program Duration: October 2021 to the end of August/September 2022. (Participants will stay in Japan for at least 60 days and will complete the PSA courses at OU).*Program may be offered online depending on the situation ofcovid-19.
• Study type: Participants can take lectures and earn credits at Osaka University Joint Campus throughout the year. While studying abroad at OU, participants will practice one or more of the PSA courses composed of laboratory work, field study and internship.
• Language Requirements: TOEFL iBT 80 / IELTS 6.0 or higher; Cambridge English with CEFR B2 level or higher
• Tuition: Waived (ITB is a partner of Osaka University)

Financial Plan & Scholarship (see program details)

Osaka University offers a certain number of scholarships to the incoming exchange students. The scholarship will be provided to the limited number of participants of OUICP during their stay in Japan. As the number of scholarship award is limited, students should make an appropriate financial plan without scholarship. Participants need to prepare the bank statement which covers 80,000 yen per month during their stay in Japan in applying for CESR.

Note: The OUICP Program is considered to be part of Outbound Semester Exchange’s (OSE) Batch 1 Application. Because Batch 1 Application period has passed, please send the following documents to iro@itb.ac.id.

1. Academic Transcript until Semester 2 2020-2021 (please also include undergraduate academic transcript);
2. Recommendation Letter from Academic Advisor & Study Program (Please use this template) – note: since the program is for 1 year, you will mention “2 semesters”. For the list of universities, mention “Osaka University (International Certificate Program)” only.
3. Financial Guarantee Letter, including the request to receive financial assistance from the Bureau of Partnerships (Please use this template) – note: please choose either A or B (note that if you choose B, financial assistance that may be provided is within the range of IDR 2-5 million – no guarantee that this amount will be provided;
4. Health Guarantee Letter, regarding Covid-19 (Please use this template);
5. Official Certificate of English Language Proficiency, such as TOEFL or IELTS (according to the requirement);
6. Recent CV;
