2022 UCMSR Summer Program – Preserving the Maritime Cultural Heritage
The Secretariat is proud to present 2022 UCMSR Summer Program – Preserving the Maritime Cultural Heritage which will be held online from 18 to 29 July 2022.
Maritime Cultural Heritage (MCH), as an important legacy of the cultural achievements of the Maritime Silk Road, connects cultures and countries, inspires exploration and innovation, and facilitates communication and mutual learning. In recent years, the diversity of both tangible and intangible MCH has been on the brink of decline due to natural and human influence. To reverse that trend, the UCMSR is planning this summer program to preserve and explore MCH which has universal value. Through this program, we aim to raise the awareness of preserving MCH, nurture talents, promote mutual understanding and friendship, thus creating a prosperous global community with a shared future.
The online summer program will include both seminars and virtual field trips to Maritime Cultural Heritage sites. Students currently enrolled at UCMSR member universities with strong interest in Maritime Cultural Heritage preservation are encouraged to apply. The application deadline is 18 June 2022. Please scan the QR code on the poster to submit the application. If you have any queries, please email ucmsr@xmu.edu.cn
