Tohoku University Student Exchange Program 2015

Tohoku University invites students of ITB to join the exchange program at Tohoku University for the fall enrollment 2015 (25 September 2015 – 5 February 2016) .

Programs offered:
1. Junior Year Program in English (JYPE)
JYPE is an exchange program that provides an opportunity for everseas undergraduate students to take natural sciences, engineering and agricultural courses at Tohoku University.

2. International Program in Liberal Arts (IPLA)
IPLA is an exchange program that provides an opportunity for overseas undergraduate students to study a variety of liberal arts, economics, management, education and literature classes at Tohoku University.

3. Cooperative Laboratory Study Program (COLABS)
The main purpose of this program is to offer an opportunity for overseas graduate students to conduct research activities on natural science, medicine, dentistry, pharmaceutical science, engineering and agriculture in an assigned laboratory.

4. Direct Enrollment Education Programs (DEEP)

This program allows international students to take classes and perform research alongside Japanese students. Students can apply to all undergraduate and graduate departements.

Undergraduates will be able to experience the wide range of fields and higly specialized courses Tohoku University has to offer through taking Liberal Education and specialized subjects. Students are required to have a high proficiency of Japanese Language, sufficient to understand classes taught in Japanese.

Graduate students will participate in world-class research through their departements activities in addition to attending lectures.

JASSO SCHOLARSHIP is available for a limited number of qualified international students accepted by Japanese Universities under the student exchange agreement.

Requirements:
1. Undergraduate student: class of 2012,2013, graduate student: class of 2013, 2014
2. Curriculum Vitae (CV)
3. Academic transcript
4. TOEFL or IELTS, with minimum score of: TOEFL 550, IELTS 6,5, iBT 100
