The Internship & Research Immersion in Singapore (IRIS@NUS) 2025

On-Site Programme Dates: June – July 2025

This two-month summer program is designed for outstanding undergraduates considering graduate studies at NUS. IRIS offers hands-on research experience under faculty mentorship, enabling participants to tackle global challenges through innovative projects. Students will engage in cutting-edge research, attend graduate-level seminars, and present their findings at the closing symposium, fostering knowledge exchange with peers and NUS scholars.

The program’s immersive format deepens learning, enhances faculty engagement, and provides valuable insights into academic research and graduate education—unlocking exciting possibilities for their future careers in scientific research.

Programme Highlights

Eligibility & Application Details

Eligible students must:

  • Have a minimum major GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent 87.5%)
  • Be enrolled full-time in a degree-granting programme
  • Have completed at least two years of their undergraduate degree OR be a first-year Master’s student
  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in academic research

Academic Transcript:

  • Curriculum Vitae (max. 2 A4 pages)
  • Personal Statement outlining academic and research experiences (prior research experience is not mandatory)
  • Two Letters of Recommendation from faculty members or supervisors attesting to the student’s research potential
