BRIEF PROFILE of the Speaker
Prof. Waiman Cheung is the Associate Dean (Graduate Studies) and the Professor of the Department of Decision Sciences and Managerial Economics of CUHK Business School. He holds an MBA and a PhD in Decision Sciences and Engineering Systems from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. His research interests and consulting work include IoT (Internet of Things) technology, big data analytics, its applications in aviation, logistics and supply chain management. His research pioneers the implementation of IoT and data analytics in a complete end-to-end,cross border supply chain among APEC countries and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Bay Area. Prof. Cheung is also the Director of Asian Institute of Supply Chains & Logistics, Director of Center of Cyber Logistics, and Executive Director of The Asia-Pacific Institute of Business, The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
