THE ASIAN YOUTH ENERGY SUMMIT (AYES) 2012
Energy Carta is a non-profit organization founded in Singapore by a team of young adults with passion for clean technology and sustainable development. Since 2008, we organize Asian Youth Energy Summit, a flagship annual conference with participants from various countries. To further our aim of promoting interest in clean energy among grassroots and other stakeholders, we also hold other smaller-scale events such as panel sessions, lecture series, round table discussions and job fairs on a regular basis.
About AYES 2012
The theme for this year’s AYES is “Reshaping Sustainability in Asia” The conference and the talks will be held in Singapore in March, 2012. A component central to the theme will be a novel policy-making simulation game called Changing the Game – Southeast Asia which aims to highlight today’s challenges and possibilities faced by the energy sector. During the 2-day period of the summit, the conference will feature distinguished speakers from the academia as well as industries, in addition to like-minded youth participants from all over the world. We aspire to be the platform connecting youth, specialists and the relevant private sectors from various parts of Asia to exchange ideas and make a difference.
AYES 2012 is now calling for applicants:
1. Form a team of 4-5 and pitch your ideas about what you can do to make a difference for the environment by focusing on the reduction of energy usage, alternative source of energy or other realistic innovative ideas that are energy related. Unleash your creativity and submit to us your work in any of the following forms: proposal, video, photo essay, website, etc. Your team might be chosen to represent your country and be rewarded air tickets and accommodation subsidy to participate in the AYES 2012 held in Singapore.
2. Alternatively, secure your seat in the AYES now for the opportunity to meet and learn from the distinguished speakers in the field and to network with representatives from other countries.
