Invitation to the Japan-ASEAN Training Course towards SDGs "Learning Japanese culture and Biodiversity from UNESCO Biosphere Reserves in Japan"
SUN/SixERS, Kanazawa University, Japan in collaboration with ASEAN University Network (AUN) and UNESCO is proud to announce that the Japan-ASEAN Training Course towards SDGs
“Learning Japanese culture and Biodiversity from UNESCO Biosphere Reserves in Japan” is to be held virtually on 11 – 15 October 2021.
The five-day virtual course is geared to strengthen the capacities of youth interested in sustainable development to solve environmental issues and introduce economic models to support sustainable development processes. Ensuring dialogue and active exchange of knowledge on joint regional actions in relation to the conservation of biological and cultural diversity of Japan.
The entire event will be held in English.
The event will feature:
- Three (3)sessions with speakers from Biosphere Reserves in Japan (on demand) (estimated duration of each session is about 40 minutes)
- Two (2)sessions with the speakers from Kanazawa University (real-time) with discussion and a short Q&A session (the estimated duration of each session is about 60 minutes)
Participating students will be assessed for their knowledge over the course of the training. According to the organizers, “The students will be able to receive certificates for their participation with marks about the thematic sessions they listened to, the number of hours and the number of points based on the testing results”.
