(Hokkaido University) Application for JLSCP (Japanese Language and Culture Studies Program) 2019-2020

We want to inform you regarding the application for  JLCSP (Japanese Language and Culture Studies Program) 2019-2020  .

The MEXT(Japanese Government) scholarship is available only for One-Year  course applicants who have the  Certificate of passing N2 or above of
Japanese Language Proficiency Test and equivalent. If you do not have Certificate of passing N2 or above want  to apply for MEXT scholarship,
please submit a letter to show your Japanese language ability could be  substituted. A letter has to include

1. the number of total hours for Japanese language classes,
2. the name of  the textbooks for the classes,
3. description of the student’s achievement which is equivalent to N2 or above.

The detail of the scholarship is below.
Term of scholarship: from September 2019 to August 2020
Monthly stipend: 117,000 yen

Please note that the MEXT scholarship is highly competitive. Only if students passed a selection in Hokkaido University, they will be  candidates as  MEXT scholarship students.

Student must be nominated by the International Relations Office.

3. Academic transcript
4. TOEFL or IELTS, with minimum score of: TOEFL 550, IELTS 6,5, iBT 79
