“International Academic mobility is not a product of chance”, CALOHEA Will Turn Up the Scale of Student and Academic Mobility in Asia

Indeed, it is not a product of chance. It is the effort of academic institutions worldwide to provide the best quality education for students across all regions. CALOHEA will establish qualification frameworks that will allow curriculums from universities in Asia to be compatible with each other and further beyond to Europe as well. This mission of such a magnitude will bring forth quality degrees that will allow unparalleled mobility for academics to learn or exchange knowledge to achieve learning outcomes based on well established national quality frameworks.

THE Masterclass Webinar “Ranking 101”: Your First Step to THE World University Rankings & Impact RankingsPotentials that ‘rankings’ can unlock for universities are countless. Rather than a ‘number’ to achieve, rankings are a valuable ‘tool’ for universities to gauge their strength, weakness, and progress in their own mission. Rankings allow universities to look into themselves as much as allow external partners, students, and academics to look at them. Study and Site-Visit Programme for Students from China

From 23 July – 5 August 2023, the AUN Secretariat welcomed two batches of Chinese students for a study and visit programme in Thailand! The five-day programme featured unique lectures from respected national and international institutions, hands-on cultural workshops, site visits to major international organisations, and cultural exposures at Bangkok’s historic landmarks. So strap up and join our students in their adventure!

Role of the Catholic church in shaping ideal societies

Religion and secularism are two words that may not go hand-in-hand. However, SMU Assistant Professor Justin Tse has uncovered a certain alignment between the local Catholic church and secular participants in social movements. Using the civil movements in Ukraine and Hong Kong, Prof. Tse dissected the place and role of Catholicism in our ‘social dreaming,’ the idealised vision of our society that is just, democratic, respectful of human rights, and governed by the rule of law.
