2. [Quarantine Expenses Loan for new International Students]
Currently, new international students arriving in Japan from overseas airports are subject to quarantine period at a hotel close to the airport concerned.
However, at the end of the quarantine period, the international students face big hotel bills.
Hiroshima University are fully aware that such expenditure will be a big financial burden for most of the international students who have just arrived in Japan.
In view of that, Hiroshima University has decided to set up a loan support scheme where international students can borrow money and pay for the quarantine expenses so that their financial and mental burdens can be alleviated, and they can start their campus life in Hiroshima as soon as possible.
