Invitation to AUN-TEPL Workplan Seminar 2023

Invitation to AUN-TEPL Workplan Seminar 2023

Since its establishment in 2020, the ASEAN University Technology Enhanced Personalised Learning (AUN-TEPL) Thematic Network has brought together and enriched the teaching community through 3 virtual symposiums, 12 webinars; facilitated exchange of 71 online resources, and the completion of an inter-university research project (2020-2022).

Building on these accomplishments, the thematic network is poised to enter its next chapter of inter-university collaboration efforts to forge deeper collaborations, as well as invite more like-minded individuals and change agents from AUN+3 universities to share insights and work together in the following 4 key areas:

  • Co-create faculty development resources that can stimulate TEPL
  • Facilitate the multi-lateral exchange of courses for credit transfer across universities
  • Share and amplify the use of digital learning resources on MERLOT
  • Collaborate on TEPL research projects

To kickstart these efforts, you are cordially invited to join us as a project collaborator at AUN-TEPL Thematic Network’s key event of the year – the AUN-TEPL Workplan Seminar 2023. The in-person event will be held on 25th – 26th May 2023 at Ngee Ann Kongsi Auditorium, Singapore Management University (SMU).

Hosted by the Singapore Management University (SMU) and co-organised by Mahidol University (MU) and Universiti Malaya (UM), the workplan seminar, themed “Charting the way forward: Empowering learners through Technology-Enhanced Personalised Learning” seeks to provide opportunities for the sharing of ideas and paving the way for the successful implementation of the 4 key areas. New areas of TEPL-related collaboration may also be explored.

Event Highlights

  • Celebrate the success of the network through a recommitment of signing of the MOU among the co-lead universities – SMU, MU and UM
  • Gain inspirational insights to TEPL approaches adopted across the region
  • Connect with like-minded educators in TEPL to develop plans for project collaboration
  • Develop synergistic collaboration opportunities across collaboration projects to improve students’ success
  • Move conversations forward with concrete action to kickstart each of the collaboration projects
