Call for proposal for ASEAN-INDIA RESEARCH TRAINING FELLOWSHIP (AI-RTF) – KAHE invites proposals to extend support to candidates with a consent letter to host the candidates for fellowships
The Karpagam Academy of Higher Education (KAHE) is a deemed to be a University established under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 in 2008 as approved by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Government of India, University Grants Commission (UGC), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Council of Architecture, and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). KAHE is a unitary private self-financing Deemed to be a University located in a serene environment with a sparkling, lush green campus in the Coimbatore District of Tamil Nadu, India.
KAHE is happy to inform you that KAHE would like to invite nominations to host fellowships to work in CoEs/ Ongoing projects through ASEAN-INDIA RESEARCH TRAINING FELLOWSHIP (AI-RTF). The call for proposals for ASEAN-INDIA RESEARCH TRAINING FELLOWSHIP (AI-RTF) is open now, and the submission date is 30th November 2022.
Kindly note the following important points about this fellowship:
· Duration of the Fellowship will be for a period of two to six months
· Areas in which fellowships are available: Agricultural Sciences, Biological and Medical Sciences, Chemical Sciences & Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Physical Sciences and Mathematics, Ocean, Earth & Atmospheric Sciences, Engineering Sciences, Materials, Minerals and Metallurgy, Science Policy / IPR Management / Technology Transfer & Commercialisation, Other multi-disciplinary areas of Science, Technology and Innovation.
· Eligibility and requirements:
i. Applicant must be holding the nationality of any of the ASEAN Member States.
ii. Possess at least a Master’s Degree in any Natural Sciences or an equivalent degree in Technology / Engineering / Medicine / allied disciplines.
iii. Applicant should be working / studying and / or affiliated to any national R&D or academic institution in his/ her home ASEAN Member State.
iv. The upper age limit for the applicant is 45 years as of date of submission of the application.
v. Fluency in the English language
Financial and other terms & conditions
- Full financial assistance will be provided to the selected Fellows, which include the following:-
- Round trip international airfare by lowest economy class and by shortest route from the international airport in the home country of the applicant to the international airport nearest to the host institution in India; visa fees, overseas medical insurance etc.
- A consolidated Fellowship amount of Indian Rupees (INR) 60,000 per month.
- One-time grant of INR 40,000/- as research contingency expenses, airport transfers, domestic travel for attending scientific /events and field-trips within India.
