Biomedical Student Congress 20th
The International Student Congress of (bio)Medical Sciences. ISCOMS is one of the world’s leading biomedical student congresses held in the University Medical Centre in Groningen, The Netherlands. The 20th edition hosted 475 participants from 56 different countries. This year, the 21st edition will take place from the 3rd till the 6th of June 2014.
Three keynotes speakers will be; professor Albert van den Berg who invented the Lab-on-a-Chip, doctor Christopher Breueur who cured congenital heart disease in a 5-year old and Nobel Laureate in Chemistery of 2009 professor Ada Yonath who unrevealed the mysteries of ribosomes.
Next to the interesting workshops, a pre-course on mastering your research, a live-surgical operation and an extensive social program, students will be given the opportunity to present their research!
Students can submit their abstract until the 14th of February 2014 on www.iscoms.com. The abstract should not exceed 350 words and must include the following heading: Introduction, Materials & Methods, Results and Discussion & Conclusion. Also, 5 keywords should be added.
Nonetheless, students can also attend ISCOMS as a non-presenting participant. All the students will have the opportunity to both interact on an academic level, as well as to tour beautiful country of the Netherlands in the post congress tour.
