Summer School 2013 "Environmental Engineering" at Hochschule RheinMain
2013 International Summer School Program at the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences Wiesbaden Rüsselsheim:
“Human Waste Products and Their Impact on Our Environment”
August 15 to August 30, 2013
It is the fifth time that the RheinMain University invites international students from engineering faculties to participate at a summer school program in Ruesselsheim. In 2013 the Environmental Engineering faculty will organize labs and excursions concerning the effect of chemicals on our environment, waste water management and various concepts and techniques of the sorting of waste. Participants will have the chance to do their own experiments in the MESOCOSM Research Centre for Ecotoxicology in Homberg(Ohm)Hesse,. They will learn about the global dimension of water management and the function of a water treatment plant. A basic concept of waste sorting processes will be implemented by using LEGO Mindstorms and C++ programmes.
Lectures will be held in English but are accompanied by a German language course. Sporting and cultural activities are offered to get to know the Rhine Main area.
The participation fee is 850 € for accommodation, lectures and labs, excursions, a weekly-ticket for public transportation and meals during the official program.
