Student Admission

Admission is conducted twice a year for most of the study programs, on February-June (Semester 1) and Oktober-November (Semester 2).
Before starting the application, you need to know that graduate admission is a shared process at ITB.

The faculty/school in the program to which you apply evaluate your application and make a recommendation to the Graduate School regarding admission. The final decision is made by the Graduate School. No applicant is admitted by the Graduate School without a favorable recommendation from the graduate program.

To apply for Master Program, applicants need to have a good record of a completed Bachelor degree (or equivalent qualification). Satisfactory completion of a Master degree program is required for the Doctoral Program.

The Graduate School sets minimum admissions requirements for all prospective students. Admission requirements include TOEFL and GRE. Minimum TOEFL score needed :500 points as requirement for admission and the GRE will be taken into consideration. In addition to these general requirements applicants must meet special requirements that apply to the different programs. Students admitted to the postgraduate program must also follow the guidelines to obtain study and residence permits as explained in the Pre-Departure Preparation.
