Science Tokyo Summer Program 2026

Science Tokyo is pleased to share the call for applications for the Science Tokyo Summer Program 2026 (STSP 2026).

STSP 2026 has been designed as a meaningful opportunity for students to experience our cutting-edge research environment, interact closely with faculty, and participate in a range of cultural activities that reflect the rich traditions of Japan.

Program Fee and Support
• Program Fee: JPY 150,000 for participation in July (approx. one month)
Note: The fee will not be prorated. Even if participating for only one day, the full amount must be paid. Payment details will be provided only to participants.
• Accommodation: The program office will introduce shared houses, etc., but participants must
secure accommodation themselves and bear the related costs. Accommodation fees are not
included in the program fee.
• Meals: The welcome party on July 2 and lunch and farewell party on July 29 are included in the
program fee. Other meals are not provided. Please inform us if you have any particular dietary
requirements.
• Transportation: Round-trip travel between Japan and participant’s home country is not included
in the program fee. Transportation costs during STSP are also borne by participants.
• Other: All costs related to travel to Japan and any issues that may arise during the stay are
borne by participants. Overseas travel insurance is mandatory. Additionally, since participants will
engage in experiments and training during the stay, they must separately purchase insurance provided by Science Tokyo to cover these activities (approx. JPY 1,150–1,340).
