Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (2026/2027) – University Grants Committee

Research Grants Council of Hong Kong is launching the Seventeenth Round of the Hong KongPhD Fellowship Scheme (the “Scheme”) for 2026/27 academic year intake.

The Scheme established in 2009 aims to attract top international students to pursue PhD studies in Hong Kong’s world-class research universities.
The fellowship provides:
– Monthly stipend of HK$28,400 (approx. US$3,640)
– Conference and research-related travel allowance of HK$14,200 (approx. US$1,820)
(per year for a period of three years)
