AOTULE Summer Program 2026 Science Tokyo
Science Tokyo invites applications for the AOTULE Summer Program 2026. The Asia-Oceania Top University League on Engineering (AOTULE) is a network of 13 leading universities promoting collaboration in engineering education and research. Through this three-month, research-oriented program, students will conduct an individual research project under the supervision of a Science Tokyo faculty member and gain hands-on experience in international collaborative research. Students will also have the opportunity to learn about state-of-the-art technology in Japan and the basic Japanese language through coursework. (click here to see program outline)
In addition to conducting a research project, students are required to complete designated coursework(s). Furthermore, there is a two-day workshop (The 17th Multidisciplinary International Student Workshop (MISW2026), where the students present their work as well as introduce their home institution to Science Tokyo students.

EXCHANGE PERIOD: 1 June, 2026 – 31 August, 2026
TUITION FEES: Tuition fees for the program are waived.
AIR TICKETS: Participants are required to purchase their airline tickets to/from Japan at their own expense and to notify coordinator of the flight details.
INSURANCE: It is mandatory for all exchange students to enroll in the Science Tokyo On-campus Accident/Liability Insurance. Please carefully note that students are responsible for payment of their premium upon arrival. In addition, students are required to join the National Health Insurance System in Japan. Furthermore, we highly recommend that students purchase medical/travel insurance in advance in their home country.

– Postgraduate students
– Final-year undergraduate students

1. Latest English official academic transcript (with min GPA 2.5/Not SIX)
2. English Proficiency Test (IELTS/TOEFL/Duolingo)
