2027 Future Research Talent (FRT) Program

The Future Research Talent (FRT) awards are jointly offered by ANU College of Science and Medicine, ANU College of Systems and Society and ANU College of Law, Governance and Policy to staff and students from Indonesia.


The 2027 FRT program will provide selected Indonesian students / staff with an opportunity to travel to ANU to pursue collaborative research, for a period of 11-12 weeks, in a range of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine Research disciplines.

Funding & Program Period

  • Successful recipients will receive an A$8,500 grant to support their participation in collaborative research at ANU.

  • The grant may be used for expenses including return airfare, visa and related medical costs, travel insurance, accommodation, and general living expenses.

  • Recipients are responsible for managing the awarded funds during the programme.

  • The programme is expected to take place between June and September 2027.


Eligibility:

  • Student: Undergraduate and postgraduate students at partner institutions (such as ITB)

  • Staff: Faculty members from selected partner universities or institutions, including eligible staff from ITB

  • be a citizen of Indonesia residing in Indonesia;

  • be able to demonstrate a high level of academic ability and research potential;
