Indonesian Police Report Letter (or STM)
Upon arrival in Indonesia, you must immediately get the Indonesian Police Report Letter (STM), which is a police report acknowledging your residence from the POA (Pengawasan Orang Asing – Foreigners’ Surveillance). It can be processed at a nearest police office from your residence. Here are the requirements:
- Printed Copy of Passport (ID page);
- Printed Copy of VITAS;
- Printed Copy of Arrival Stamp (passport page);
- Printed Copy of Indonesian ID Card of residence host;
- Information about residence host’s address;
- Letter of Domicile from the Local District Office (Kantor Kelurahan) – Note: To obtain this letter, you need a letter from the RT and RW (neighborhood offices);
Notes:
- Please immediately ask your residence host to process STM by submitting the above documents to the police office in the area where you are staying. The host will be responsible for obtaining the letter by submitting the documents.
